Teaching and Beyond
Working with young people can be richly rewarding. Students need a safe environment, filled with the care and nurture of supportive adults who are committed toward seeing them succeed. While every community is different, many schools face challenges hiring the required number of educators and support personnel needed.
Instructional positions include those who have a passion for teaching. These include:

Primary or elementary classroom teacher,

Elementary specialty subject teachers (music, art, physical education, Special Education, STEM),

Teacher assistants (paraprofessional),

Secondary subject-specific teachers (history, science, languages, mathematics, etc.)

I was in the Air Force for 5 years and 11 months. My time I served was October 1994 - September 2000. I am also an Air Force spouse (Retired) for 25 years. Now I am a Paraeducator in the SCIL preschool program in Travis Unified School District and I love it because I get to be a part of building the foundation for our students just starting school. I love to watch their growth through the years!
